Overview

Confirm supports marking certain custom questions ‘calibratable’, allowing their responses to be included in the calibration process.

Configuration - ‘Allow calibration’

The ‘Allow calibration’ toggle is available in the Question Editor when creating or editing a supported question type.

When enabled, the question is flagged as eligible for calibration for that particular cycle. Eligible questions include: Likert scale; Multiple choice; Dropdown list. All other question types cannot be calibrated.

The ‘Allow calibration’ toggle is visible in Cycle Admin, but not to the end user completing the cycle.

Team Dashboard

A custom question is available at the Team Dashboard (Surveys & Performance > Team) for calibration if:

  • It is marked as ‘Allow calibration’

  • It has been answered by at least one person

  • The viewer has calibration permissions (HR Admin)

For users with calibration permissions, the cell displays a dropdown with all valid values. The current value is pre-selected. Changes can be made directly from the table. For users without calibration permissions the value is shown as ‘read-only’.

Calibration History

Multiple calibrations are supported and the most recent calibration is treated as the final value.

Hovering over a calibrated value shows:

  • Previous value

  • Updated value

  • Who calibrated

  • When

  • Calibration comment (if provided)

CSV Export

When exporting Team Dashboard data to CSV, calibrated questions include additional context. The exported value includes the Calibrated value, Calibrator, Date and Optional comment.

Performance Profile (Manager View)

Calibration history is visible only to users with appropriate permissions. In the manager's view of the performance profile only the final calibrated value is displayed for calibratable questions. Original and intermediate values are not shown inline in the report.

To provide transparency without cluttering the view, a Calibration history panel is available.

Managers can access it via hover or by clicking on the Calibration history indicator.

The calibration history shows the calibrated value at each step; who made the change; when the change was made; the calibration comment (if provided); the original answer (shown separately at the bottom of the history). This ensures that the profile remains clean and focused on final outcomes but full auditability is still available when needed.
