Guide for sending Continuous Feedback & Recognition from Teams to Confirm

There are 4 types of ‘Continuous Feedback’ in Confirm: Give Feedback, Request Feedback, Give Recognition & Note to Self.

These types of Continuous Feedback can be sent directly from MS Teams in the following ways:

  • Teams channel set up for giving recognition (e.g. “Thank You” channel);

  • 1-1 Teams chat with another Teams user

  • Confirm Bot (left-hand menu in Teams)

See instructions below on how to send Continuous Feedback in Teams and to Confirm by each of these methods. Note for this capability to work, users being selected to receive feedback and recognition must have both a Teams and Confirm account.

Recognition channel (eg. “Thank You” Teams channel)

  • Select “Start post”

  • Call the Confirm bot by inputting “@ConfirmBot” and press enter

  • In the same message box, type “recognition” or “feedback” and select the corresponding suggestion

  • Click ‘Post’ and the Recognition card will display

  • Input who you’d like to recognize, set the visibility, input the recognition and tag any skills

  • Select ‘Give Recognition’

  • The recognition will display both in the Teams channel and back in Confirm via the highlights section of the Home page and at Team > Feedback & Recognition

1-1 Teams chat

It’s possible to send Continuous Feedback from a 1-1 chat with another Teams user:

  • Open a private chat with another user

  • Call the Confirm bot by inputting “@Confirm” and inputting “recognize”, “feedback”, “request” or “note”

  • Depending on your command, the respective card will display, e.g. the Recognition card

  • Here, you can input who you’d like to recognize or who you’d like to give feedback to, set the visibility, input the comments and tag any skills - alternatively, you can write this text in the Teams text box and the card will auto-populate

  • Note that the card will be visible to the other 1-1 user who can make any edits before you select ‘Give recognition’ or ‘Give feedback’

  • Note that while this chat is between two Teams users, the visibility for the feedback or recognition in Confirm can still be set to ‘individual’, ‘individual + manager’ or ‘everyone’.

Confirm Bot (left-hand menu in Teams)

It’s possible to give Continuous Feedback via the Confirm Bot:

  • Open the Confirm Bot on the left hand side of Teams

  • Click ‘View prompts’ and you’ll see options to Give Feedback, Request Feedback, Give Recognition or Write a Note

  • Select the prompt and it will populate in the chat bar

  • Click send and this will display the respective card

  • Input the receiver of the request or feedback, the comments, visibility and skills.

  • If you’re giving recognition, this will go both to the assigned Recognition in Teams, as well as to Confirm

Where to find sent and received feedback in Confirm
